Below is my current pricing guide for clients
Developmental editing:
$ 300 - 50 000 Words
$ 400 - 60 000 Words
$ 600 - 80 000 Words
$ 800 - 100 000 Words
Proofreading Prices:
$1 per a page.
Book Coaching Services start at $50 per hour via Zoom.
I also do Copy Editing and Formatting. Rates depend on the client's requirements.
Please note the prices are a guideline ONLY and depend on me doing either a free sample edit or receiving a sample of your work for assessment.
What this covers, is several read-throughs with comments on the entire story and notes on problem areas I find. Also included is a final read-through after the author has taken my comments and applied them.
I am happy to do a free sample edit so that you can see if you are happy with my work and that our styles are compatible. It is an editor's job to help a writer take their work to the next level.
I am also happy to discuss special prices for multiple works as long as the client has set deadlines and meets them.
One of my major strengths is working on series and picking up the details that are easily overlooked. To give the client my best work, I do have to know which book in the series that I am working on. If hired midway to help edit a series I consider it essential to read all previous books so I can do my work properly.
I am aware that my rates are much lower than other editors out there. This is because I am taking advantage of a decent exchange rate to earn a decent income.
I only accept payment via Paypal.
How payment works. I prefer payment upfront in full as I don't take booking fees. What I do is, I generate a Paypal invoice on receipt of the manuscript. Amounts of $200 and more can be split into 2 payments by arrangement. But I do request that once I send back the completed edits I receive full payment within 7 days. I charge a reading fee of $20, per book if I have to go back and read books in a series.
